East Texas Properties Magazine is successful in placing East Texas real estate in the hands of prospective buyers for many reasons, one of which is our outstanding people.  ETP Magazine is fortunate to have an owner and personnel that have been exclusively in the customer service segment of the business for many years.  Their experience and attention to customer needs is a key factor that sets us apart from other magazines.

Lorene Farrell, owner and editor, has the following customer service qualifications: Baton Rouge, LA. - Sixteen years experience as real estate broker and general contractor completing over over 400 projects.  In this capacity she worked directly with the customers in the planning, drafting and actual construction of each project.  Only three of the projects were speculative as she preferred the personal contact with the customers instead of just “selling them.”

Upon moving to Texas in 1978 she remained in the construction field supervising the building of homes in Tyler, as a construction superintendent for JW Construction in Arlington and as co-owner of North Dallas Design Center specializing in kitchen and bath remodeling.

In January of 1998 she was offered the opportunity to purchase the 6 year old East Texas Properties Magazine which at that time offered sparse distribution and limited customer service to the stage it is today which is wide distribution and very satisfactory customer service.

Clyde DeLong is in charge of distribution and accounting and also has an exemplary history of customer service.  Before coming to Texas in 1983 he was in the building material supplier field acting as warehouse manager and jobcoordinator for the largest building material distributor in the tri-states areas of Ohio, Pennsylvania and Indiana for 32 years.

In Texas he worked for Able Builder Supplies until 1985 when he went into business with Lorene Farrell in Dallas in North Dallas Design Center in charge of production until the present at ETP Magazine.

Penny Patterson entered the digital printing industry in 2003, after 15 years in the corporate world, dealing largely with managing sales and customer service personnel. Her last position was Training Manager for a major telecommunications company on the west coast. Looking for a change, Penny purchased and successfully operated a regional lifestyle magazine for 3 years, loving the customer interaction and new technologies emerging in the publishing world.

After selling her magazine in 2006, Penny took on the layout and design responsibilities at East Texas Properties Magazine. Here at ETP Magazine, Penny is able to focus in on providing exceptional customer service to the region's leading real estate agents by exceeding their expectations in meeting deadlines and design needs. With her passion in solving problems, Penny loves meeting the deadline challenges and ever changing needs of ETP Magazine's clients, especially in our daily changing real estate climate.
